Building on the establishment of the prestigious Zhizhen School and the successful model of the deep collaboration between CUHK and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK(SZ)), a new Bachelor of Science Programme in Mathematical Sciences / Mathematics and Applied Mathematics to be jointly organised by CUHK and CUHK(SZ) will be introduced with effect from 2026-27. The objective is to cultivate leading talents with solid foundations in pure mathematics, as well as knowledge and skills in related fields to lead the development of mathematical sciences in Hong Kong, and its related applications in China and in the rest of the world.

Curriculum

Students can access a list of equivalent/substitution courses between CUHK and CUHK(SZ) to complete the required and elective courses on either campus, following a well-designed study pattern, to fulfill the graduation requirements of their home campus.
