New Asia College, CUHK delegation joins the High Table Dinner of Harmonia College, CUHK(SZ) to foster exchange and explore AI innovation

On 26 November, 2025, Professor Hector S.O. Chan, Head of New Asia College, Professor Jimmy H.M. Lee, Associate Head of New Asia College together with college affiliated teaching member, Professor Chris K.P. Mok, led seven college students to attend the “Harmonia College High Table Dinner 2025” hosted by Harmonia College of CUHK(SZ). The event, held at the elegant banquet hall of The COLI Hotel Shenzhen in Longgang District, functioned as a meaningful platform for fostering closer ties between the two Colleges through cultural exchange and interaction.

Participants departed in the afternoon and attended the dinner in formal business attire, reflecting the occasion’s professional tone. The evening featured not only fine dining but also vibrant discussions among staff and students, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration between the two campuses. A highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by Dr. Ma Jian, Co-founder and CEO of XtalPi, who spoke on “Accelerating Technological Innovation with Artificial Intelligence: Building a New Engine for High-Quality Development.” Dr. Ma, a prominent figure in pharmaceutical innovation and AI-driven drug development, shared insights on how AI is transforming research and industry, inspiring attendees to embrace innovative thinking.

The High Table Dinner served as more than a cultural exchange; it was a platform for academic dialogue and cross-regional collaboration, reflecting the shared vision of CUHK and CUHK(SZ) in nurturing talent and advancing knowledge.
