S.H. Ho College and Harmonia College have maintained a friendly relationship since Harmonia College’s establishment. Professor Ye Lixin, the Founding Master of Harmonia College, visited S.H. Ho College in 2017 and 2023 respectively. These visits laid a solid foundation for deeper understanding and future collaboration. As one of the nine constituent colleges of CUHK, S.H. Ho College upholds the motto of “Culture, Morals, Devotion and Trustworthiness”, which aims to cultivate students into people with cultural literacy, noble character, as well as being trustworthy and virtuous. Harmonia College adheres to the motto of “Scholarship, Perseverance and Excellence”, which fosters students to become confident, self-disciplined and culturally aware, with an international perspective, a sense of social responsibility and a heart to care for people. Although the mottos of the two colleges differ, their educational missions are closely aligned, both committed to enhancing students’ moral standards and character. The establishment of a Sister College collaboration will expand the depth and breadth of both colleges in terms of their educational visions and practices.

In addition to attending the signing ceremony, Professor Lee Tan and the staff and student representatives from S.H. Ho College participated in Harmonia College’s High Table Dinner. They enjoyed dinner and the wonderful dance and music performances by students of Harmonia College, and shared their experiences at S.H. Ho College.
