The HKSSA Annual Professional Dialogue – Leadership in Times of Crisis, co-organised by the Office of Student Affairs, CUHK and the Hong Kong Student Affairs Association (HKSSA), was successfully held on 17 December, 2024. Nearly a hundred student affairs practitioners from various local universities, including 12 colleagues from the Office of Student Affairs, CUHK(SZ) attended the event. It featured Ms. Marjorie Yang, Chairman of Esquel Group, who shared the company’s successful sustainability and innovation initiatives during uncertain times with participants. The dialogue also addressed employee work attitudes and strategies when facing crises, emphasising the importance of resilience and adaptability in challenging times.

Ms. Yang shared insights on the challenges faced and management strategies employed during challenging times and introduced Integral, Esquel’s sustainable development garden in Guilin. This garden is designed to engage educators and students in immersive learning experiences, fostering the exploration of innovative ideas aimed at shaping a sustainable future. The colleagues from CUHK(SZ) visited the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change (MoCC), CUHK after the Dialogue.
