On 13 May, 2024, Professor Alan K.L. Chan, Provost, Professor Poon Wai-yin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chan Kwok-wai, Director of Interdisciplinary Data Analysis + X Double Major programme (IDADM), and representatives from CUHK Campuses Collaboration Office, had a lunch gathering with CUHK(SZ) students from IDADM who came to Shatin campus for studies this semester.

Before the start of the gathering, Professor Alan K.L. Chan welcomed the attending students, congratulating the students on successfully completing the first year of this pioneering programme, while encouraging them to seize the opportunity to actively participate in various activities offered by CUHK, and hoping to use this opportunity to better understand the students’ academic and personal journey at CUHK.

Due to enthusiastic registration, the gathering was divided into two tables, chaired by Professor Alan K.L. Chan and Professor Poon Wai-yin respectively. Over the meal, the students actively shared their opinions on the programme content and their experiences and observations from studying on both campuses. At the same time, Professor Chan Kwok-wai patiently answered various questions raised by the students, making the whole gathering warm and harmonious.
