CUHK x CUHK(SZ): Strengthening wellness connections

On 17 October, 2025, the Wellness and Counselling Centre (WACC) of CUHK hosted a one-day exchange for colleagues from the Student Health and Counselling Centre (SHCC) and student representatives from the wellness teams of CUHK(SZ). The initiative was designed to strengthen collaboration and share innovative ideas for promoting student well-being across campuses.

The day kicked off with a professional exchange meeting between the two centres, where management teams shared best practices and explored fresh approaches to enhancing student health and counselling. This session provided invaluable insights and laid a strong foundation for future collaboration.

Meanwhile, a vibrant neon light wellness workshop brought together ten wellness team student members from SHCC and seven uPals Wellness Ambassadors from WACC, who crafted their own customised neon light creations as symbols of positivity and self-expression. They shared moments of creativity and joy together. This hands-on experience not only fostered artistic expression and collaboration but also strengthened friendships among students across campuses.

To celebrate inclusiveness, colleagues and students from CUHK(SZ) also joined the Wellness and Inclusive Fair at Cultural Square. The event featured more than ten interactive booths hosted by different student groups, university departments, social enterprises, and non-profit organisations. At the heart of the fair was the collaborative “Kindness” canva, where SHCC and WACC members came together to share acts of kindness, creating a heartfelt collective display that embodied care and connection.

This one-day exchange wrapped up with an inspiring campus tour, giving the guests a chance to immerse themselves in the rich culture and scenic environment of CUHK. Highlights of the tour included iconic landmarks such as University Mall, New Asia College, and the Pavilion of Harmony — a perfect finale to the day filled with learning, creativity, and meaningful connections.

Looking ahead, these collaborations are envisioned to grow stronger, reinforcing the shared dedication to fostering student well-being and inclusiveness across both campuses.
