On 26 September, 2025, 38 students from CUHK visited the CUHK(SZ) campus to participate in the annual Mid-Autumn Festival Gala. The event brought together students from both campuses to celebrate the traditional festival.
The event was jointly organised by the Office of Student Affairs and the Student Union of CUHK(SZ). CUHK(SZ) students warmly welcomed the CUHK students and led them through the Festive Fair, where they enjoyed traditional performances such as the lion dance, and took part in classic Mid-Autumn activities like lantern riddles, fully immersing themselves in rich cultural traditions.
Following the fair, students from both campuses gathered for the highlight of the evening – the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala. The event attracted over 3,000 CUHK(SZ) students and featured a variety of vibrant performances. A standout moment was a joint musical and dance performance, where students from both CUHK and CUHK(SZ) shared the stage. With voices and rhythms in harmony, the performance echoed the spirit of “Two Campuses, One Heart”.
Ricky Chan, a history student from CUHK who performed in the gala, shared: “I was honoured to participate in the Mid-Autumn Festival gala at CUHK(SZ), performing alongside their students. I’m grateful to CUHK for this precious opportunity, which allowed me to enjoy the applause from so many audience members. It was truly an unforgettable memory.”
