On 10 October, 2025 (Friday), the CUHK Campuses Collaboration Office (CCCO) successfully hosted a Career Workshop – Unlocking the Hong Kong job market: Mastering workplace culture and job skills for students enrolled in the 2+2 Collaborative Double Major Programme (CDMP). The event was designed to help students strengthen their CVs and prepare effectively for internship opportunities.
The workshop was led by Ms. Christine Lau, Founder of JupCV Career Services, a seasoned HR professional and headhunter with over ten years of experience in talent acquisition and career consulting. Drawing on her extensive background, Ms. Lau shared insider tips on how to craft a strong and impactful CV, how Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) filter applications before they reach recruiters, and what employers look for during the hiring process.
Students also learned to use the STAR method for answering interview questions, followed by guidance on interview attire and what employers typically evaluate—technical competence, cultural fit, and communication.
The interactive format of the workshop gave participants the opportunity to apply what they learned immediately. In the final 30 minutes, the CCCO team provided one-on-one CV reviews, offering tailored feedback to each student.
Feedback from students was highly positive:
“The speaker was experienced, and the information is valuable.”
“I do not regret joining. The CV part, interview part, and even ways to find a job were all useful.”
This event reflects CCCO’s commitment to supporting CDMP students in their career development and professional growth, equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive job market.
