On 27 February, 2026, the CUHK Campuses Collaboration Office (CCCO) partnered with The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Master of Arts in Personal Finance Education (MA(PFE)) programme to host an engaging Personal Finance Workshop.
The session was highly interactive, with participants actively asking insightful questions, sharing personal experiences, and contributing to lively discussions. The content was practical and immediately applicable, with many attendees noting that they had already begun applying the insights to their daily financial planning.
The workshop covered a range of real-world topics, including:
- Personal finance fundamentals and credit management – building a strong foundation and avoiding common pitfalls.
- Investment basics – stocks, funds, bonds, and risk management strategies explained in an accessible manner.
- Hong Kong vs. Mainland China financial systems – key differences in regulations, markets, and opportunities.
- MPF optimisation and comparison with Mainland Social Security – practical approaches to improving retirement planning.
- Everyday money management tools – apps, budgeting methods, and risk assessment techniques for immediate use.
- Cross-border financial strategies – tailored guidance for individuals managing finances across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
The workshop maintained a vibrant and positive atmosphere throughout, with strong participation in discussions and case-sharing sessions-reflecting the MA(PFE) programme’s emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.
