The 2+2 Collaborative Double Major Programme Student Development Session organised by the CUHK Campuses Collaboration Office (CCCO) on 21 February, 2025 provided an enriching platform for students to explore new opportunities and navigate their path to academic success. Specially designed to support the unique needs of 2+2 students, the session aimed to equip them with essential resources and insights to enhance their academic experience in the University.
The event featured two esteemed speakers who inspired students to maximise their potential. Ms. Doris Chan from the Office of Student Affairs introduced a range of service learning activities designed to empower students to engage with the community while developing valuable skills for their future careers. Her talk emphasised the importance of stepping beyond academics to cultivate leadership, empathy, and a sense of social responsibility.
Complementing this perspective, Mr. Michael Tessmer, Assistant Lecturer at the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), shared an insightful overview of the free academic resources available to students. He explained how the ILC supports students in achieving academic excellence through resources that promote independent learning and critical thinking. Michael encouraged students to take advantage of these tools to enhance their learning journey and develop skills that will serve them well beyond university life.
The session inspired students to explore beyond their academic pursuits, empowering them to embrace the full spectrum of opportunities available on campus. It also provided a platform for students to expand their knowledge, connect with peers, and discover pathways to success.
CCCO is thrilled by the enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students. This session marks another step in our ongoing commitment to supporting 2+2 students in their academic and personal growth. We look forward to organising more events that inspire and empower our students to reach their fullest potential.
